TOO MANY TO PICK JUST ONE! a few good ones are The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, Next to Normal by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, FOB/M. Butterfly/Yellowface by David Henry Hwang, and The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown (EWP’s production was AMAZING)
Where’d you grow up?
Monterey Park, CA – the epicenter of all things Asian and wonderful 😀
What are you up to when you’re not interning at EWP?
Attending UC Berkeley where I’m apart of TheatreRice!, a modern Asian American performance group, making my friends fat with my cooking/baking, helping out at Alhambra’s Mosaic Lizard Theater, listening to my odd mix of Chinese/Korean music and showtunes
WHY ARE YOU HERE?
Two of the biggest passions in life are theatre and being Asian-American, so this internship seemed like a perfect fit! I’ve been a huge fan of EWP since I found out they existed, and I knew I had to be a part of their organization in some way. This is the grand-daddy of all APA theatre and words cannot express how grateful and honored to meet all these extraordinary people.
Persimmons – the soft kind that leaves permanent stains
Cooking, making half a scrapbook, eating

Feed them and they will love you, and wear comfortable shoes.
A random fact about you?
I make the best chocolate chip cookies in the world. Period.
Anything else you’d like to add?
Support theatre and not just APA theatre! And come watch KRUNK FU BATTLE BATTLE at EWP! (Yes, that was a shameless plug) Shameless plugging always has a special place in our hearts, doesn’t it.
We like her spunk. We like her cookies. We like her shameless plugging. Hooray, Jessica! Welcome.
